How it works

  1. 01Drop, choose or paste the photos you want to mirror.
  2. 02Pick horizontal, vertical or both, and check the preview.
  3. 03Select Process to flip all the images.
  4. 04Download them one by one, or as a ZIP with Download all.

Why use this tool

Three flip modes

Choose horizontal, vertical, or both. Flipping both ways gives the same result as a 180° rotation.

No resampling

A flip only swaps pixel positions, so lines, text edges and fine textures stay just as sharp as before.

Fix a whole set

Mirror every selfie from a shoot in one pass instead of opening them one at a time.

Supported formats

Use cases

Reversed selfie text

Front cameras often save mirrored images, so a T-shirt slogan or a sign behind you reads backward. A horizontal flip makes it readable.

Iron-on transfers

Designs printed on transfer paper must be mirrored so they read correctly once pressed onto fabric. Flip the artwork before printing.

Facing the right way

A product or person faces off the edge of a layout. Mirror the photo so they look toward the headline instead.

Technical details

A horizontal flip swaps the left and right sides of the image; a vertical flip swaps top and bottom. Neither one resamples pixels, so the result is an exact mirror of the original at the same dimensions. The file is still saved again, as JPG, PNG or WebP, so a JPG passes through one more compression step. Transparency is kept in PNG and WebP. Be careful with photos containing text, logos or license plates: a mirror flip makes them read backward, which is exactly what you want for transfers and exactly what you don’t want elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between flipping and rotating?

Flipping makes a mirror image: left becomes right, or top becomes bottom. Rotating turns the whole picture around its center without mirroring it. A vertical flip and a 180° rotation look different, because the flip also reverses left and right relative to the rotation.

Why do my selfies look reversed?

Many phones show the front camera preview as a mirror, because that feels natural, and some also save the photo that way. Text in the background then reads backward. Flip the image horizontally to see the scene as other people would.

Can I mirror an image for printing on a T-shirt transfer?

Yes. Add the design, choose a horizontal flip and save it as PNG to keep full detail. Print the mirrored file on the transfer paper; once ironed on, the design reads correctly. Check your transfer paper’s instructions, since a few types don’t need mirroring.

Is flipping lossless?

The flip itself doesn’t alter any pixel values, only their positions. Saving as PNG keeps the result pixel-identical to a mirrored original. Saving as JPG adds one more round of lossy compression, which is usually invisible at normal quality.
