Why use this tool
Pick the background color
JPG has no transparency, so empty areas are filled with white by default, or with any color you choose to match your layout.
Compact, universal files
JPG with a quality slider gives small files that upload forms, print services and older software accept without question.
Sharp at any width
The vector is drawn at a scale of 1× to 4× or at your exact pixel width, not stretched from a small image.
Supported formats
Use cases
Forms that only take JPG
Job portals, ID applications and some marketplaces accept JPG only. Render a signature, chart or logo as JPG with a white background to get through.
Illustrations with gradients
Detailed vector art with gradients and many colors often makes a large PNG. JPG keeps those smooth tones much smaller for blogs and social posts.
Print or photo services
Print kiosks and photo-book services commonly expect JPG. Render a vector poster at a large width on the background color you want.
Technical details
Converting SVG to JPG rasterizes the vector at a fixed size and then applies lossy compression. Choose a scale of 1× to 4× or an exact pixel width. Because JPG cannot store transparency, every transparent area is filled with a solid color: white by default, or any color you pick. Quality defaults to 90, which keeps edges clean; flat logos can show faint artifacts around hard edges at lower settings. The output size is fixed once rendered, so pick the largest width you expect to need.
JPG suits vector artwork with gradients, shading or many colors. For simple logos or icons that need a transparent background, PNG is usually sharper and sometimes even smaller. As with any SVG on Pixellin, embedded scripts never run because the file is rendered as an image. JPG and JPEG are the same format, so a site asking for JPEG accepts these files as they are.

Frequently asked questions
What happens to the transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent parts of the SVG are filled with a solid color. White is the default, and you can choose any other color, for example your brand color or the background of the page where the image will appear.
Should I convert SVG to JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG when a form or service requires it, or when the artwork has gradients and many colors and file size matters. Choose PNG for logos, icons and anything that needs transparency or perfectly crisp flat edges.
What size will my JPG be?
You decide. Pick a scale of 1× to 4× of the SVG's built-in size, or enter a pixel width and the height follows the aspect ratio. Larger dimensions mean more detail and a bigger file.
Why are there faint blotches around my logo?
JPG compression struggles with hard edges next to flat color. Raise the quality slider toward 95 or 100 to reduce them, or switch to PNG, which is lossless and better suited to simple logos.
