Why use this tool
Even, aligned rows
Images placed side by side share a top and bottom edge, so a row of photos looks deliberate instead of ragged.
Widths stay natural
Each width is calculated from the image's own proportions, so panoramas stay wide and portraits stay narrow.
Fits fixed-height slots
Prepare images for headers, sliders and banner strips that have a set height but a flexible width.

Use cases
Row-based photo gallery
Justified gallery layouts line up cleanly when source images share a height. Resize a set of mixed photos to 800 px tall before uploading them.
Product grid
Bottles, boxes and shoes have different shapes. A common height of 600 px keeps product names aligned under each image in the catalog.
Logos in an email header
An email header shows several partner logos in a strip. Resize them all to 80 px tall so they sit on one even line.
Technical details
Height-based resizing is the counterpart to width-based resizing. Pages scroll vertically, so width is usually the constraint, but rows, carousels and banners are limited by height instead. Setting a height scales each image proportionally: a 1600 × 1200 landscape at 600 px tall becomes 800 × 600, and a 1200 × 1800 portrait becomes 400 × 600. Each image keeps its own shape, so a row of mixed photos ends up with matching heights but different widths.
Watch out for very wide images. A 6000 × 1500 panorama resized to 600 px tall is still 2400 px wide, which may overflow a narrow layout. If a slot has both a fixed height and a fixed width, use exact dimensions with Crop to fill instead. Don't enlarge smaller images is on by default, so short images keep their size unless you turn it off.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make all my images the same height?
Add the images, pick the height mode and type the height in pixels. Each image is scaled so its height matches while its width follows its own aspect ratio. Select Process and download the set.
Why resize by height instead of width?
Use height when images sit next to each other horizontally, such as gallery rows, product grids, logo strips or slider banners. Equal heights keep rows aligned. Use width when images stack in a single column, like in a blog post.
Will a wide panorama end up too wide?
It can. Width is calculated from the proportions, so a 4:1 panorama at 500 px tall ends up 2000 px wide. Check the new size shown for each file after processing, and crop panoramas first if they must fit a narrow space.
Can I make product images the same height and width?
Not in this mode, because width follows each image's shape. For identical boxes, such as 1000 × 1000 marketplace images, use exact dimensions and choose Fit inside to add padding rather than cutting off parts of the product.
